Matt pushed himself to grow in the kitchens he worked in, moving through Michelin kitchens and up to senior roles at TATE catering & Hilton UK, Matt won the coveted Caterer & Hotelkeeper Acorn Award in 2010.

Cornwall bound with his wife, Linsay; Matt was employed by RED hotels, owners of the amazing Bedruthan Hotel and Scarlet Hotels to develop the food and beverage.

The Burns family now have The Hayloft Restaurant & Cooplet & Co. Catering & Events. Bringing the best of the local fields and sea direct to your plate, with love, care, attention, BIG flavour and good value to boot!
